Ninety
Phillips says Proust always rewards rereading, but I don’t
want to reread À la Recherche du Temps Perdu, and
I’m beginning to question whether I want to reread La Divina Commedia. One is a foundational text of modernism, and the other
of Christianity, and I want to purge myself of all such fantasies and live in
the real world before I die.
